Nice hussar officer's saber ca: 1790-1820 very similar to Swedish sabers from the same time but they lack the Swedish guide rails. This saber is probably continental. Relatively narrow bowl-cut blade approx: 2.5-3cm, the blade is damasked and has an arrow height of 8cm. Tub with long decorated brass fittings and a shorter leather part in between. Trailer shoe in steel, a clutch ring is missing, the decor is partly reminiscent of Gustavian. Length of saber straight over 87cm (770eur)
