Completely harmless exploded "gratenwerfer" grenade as detonated but apparently something was wrong and the grenade is more or less complete just blown up body. This type was used for a grenade launcher, the "handle" was placed which was fitted with thin tin wings on a pin which then activated a propellant charge. Found on the eastern front / Riga front. Very exciting battlefield finds from the First World War 1914-1918 do fantastically well in a WW1 collection. (60eur)
