Very fine openwork German officer's saber for senior officer at artillery/artillery staff. Mounted with openwork clasp, lion's cape with red eyes. Grooved grip with wire bound which, however, is partially missing. The blade is very heavily engraved, one side with a picture of the Kaiser and the Prussian crown, the other side with an eagle and the text "Mit gott fur kaiser und reich" German steel scabbard which is probably not original as the saber is shorter than the scabbard. However, the tub is in good condition without damage (€578)
